What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact Forms and Forum Posts

When you fill in a contact form on the site, data shown in the contact form is collected so you can be contacted back, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you use the forum or community feature of this site, the post subject, content of your post as well as your profile information will be displayed for all members to see. Visitors to the site that are not members will not have access to these posts.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. When you register as a member on this site, you will need to supply your contact details including full name and email address. If you sign up as an annual member, you will also need to supply your full mailing address so that we can send you the annual Veggie Starter Box.


If you upload images to a forum post, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other members can download and extract any location data from images you post on the website.


This Site also uses Google Analytics to track visit information for statistical purposes. Information that is gathered includes your Internet Service Provider (ISP), City, Country, how you arrived on our pages whether it be direct, via search or via social media. This information is securely stored by Google and only the owner of this site has access. You can turn off the cookies that are generated when you visit the Site by visiting this page at

Other analytics that are recorded locally on this site include number of downloads of supplemental learning materials, video views including length of video viewed and logins and logouts. Some analytics are anonymous and some are tied to an individual member.

These analytics are solely used to improve membership offerings.

Event Recordings

Many of the live online events will be recorded in order that members who were unable to attend live can watch them as well. By attending an event that is being recorded, you consent to having your participation captured if you decide to actively participate via video, audio and text chat your participation will be captured in the recording.

These recordings will be made available on the site. All recordings are stored on a third party video site called Vimeo. No recordings on Vimeo will be made public nor can someone embed the videos on another site. Videos will only work on this site and are blocked from being downloaded and shared elsewhere.

Who we share your data with

The Site will not disclose personal information that you provide on its Site to any third parties except:

  1. in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, or
  2. to comply with legal requirements such as a law, regulation, warrant, subpoena or court order, and/or
